The One Thing You Cannot Skip: Waterproofing
This is the most critical part of any Dubai bathroom renovation. Waterproofing is not optional. It is the difference between a renovation that lasts 15 years and one that causes water damage within 18 months.
Proper waterproofing includes: membrane application to the entire wet area (floor and walls to 1.8m minimum), reinforcement at all corners and joints, drainage integration, and a 24-48 hour flood test before any tiling begins. We photograph and video the entire waterproofing process for every project. If your contractor does not do this, ask why.

Porcelain tiles (AED 80-200/sqm) are the most practical choice. Water-resistant, durable, and available in finishes replicating marble, concrete, and wood.
