The Sustainable City

The Sustainable City is Dubai's pioneering eco-friendly community, developed by Diamond Developers. Located in Dubailand, it was one of the first Net Zero Energy developments in the region, featuring solar panels, greywater recycling, urban farming and car-free internal streets. The community's cluster-style villas come in three, four and five-bedroom configurations, each designed with sustainability at the core. However, sustainable design and luxury finish are not the same thing — and with homes now approaching a decade old, many residents are investing in interior upgrades. We have completed 3 projects in The Sustainable City with a growing pipeline.

Renovation work in The Sustainable City requires a thoughtful approach. The community has strict guidelines on maintaining its eco-friendly principles, which means material choices, waste management during construction, and energy efficiency of any new installations must align with the community's sustainability charter. We work within these parameters to deliver premium interiors using sustainable and low-VOC materials, energy-efficient lighting, and water-saving fixtures. Kitchen and bathroom renovations are the most common requests, along with flooring upgrades and improved storage solutions throughout.

The unique layout of Sustainable City homes — with integrated courtyards, rooftop gardens and passive cooling design — means renovation work here is different from a standard Dubai villa. Our team understands how to enhance these spaces without compromising the thermal performance or sustainability credentials that make the community special. We also handle any required approvals with the community management to ensure all modifications are compliant.
