Al Furjan

Al Furjan is a well-connected Nakheel community located near Ibn Battuta Mall and the Route 2020 metro line, offering a mix of independent villas and Quortaj townhouses. Established around 2013, the community has matured into a popular family neighbourhood with excellent connectivity — the Discovery Gardens and Furjan metro stations provide rare rail access for a villa community. With homes now over a decade old, renovation demand in Al Furjan is strong, and we have completed 10 projects across both villa and townhouse types.

Al Furjan villas come in several layout types (Type A through E), each with different configurations and sizes. The original Nakheel fitout was standard-grade, and after 10+ years of family use, most homes are showing wear in kitchens, bathrooms and flooring. Kitchen renovations are the most requested service — many homeowners convert from closed kitchen layouts to open-plan designs, upgrade cabinetry to handleless soft-close systems, and install engineered stone countertops. Bathroom renovations focus on waterproofing remediation (a common issue in this age of property) and complete fixture and tiling upgrades.

The Quortaj townhouses represent a more compact renovation opportunity — targeted kitchen and bathroom upgrades can transform these homes at moderate budgets. For the independent villas, pool construction and garden landscaping are popular additions, particularly given the generous plot sizes. The Al Furjan Pavilion community centre provides a social hub, and homeowners want their private spaces to match the quality of the communal amenities. Nakheel's approval process is required for external works.
